The only "un-American" thing a person can do is call an American "un-American"!

As a Canadian, I can only respond with hearty laughter when I am accused of being un-American. I have often faced the charge of anti-American, though. One might think that at first it would apply to being anti-jazz or anti-rock & roll or anti-Hollywood movie or some such nonsense. But observation of when it is applied to be reveals that it means that one is against a policy of the Government of the United States of America that is supported by the right. Additionally, it occasionally means that you support a policy for the Government of the United States of America that is not supported by the right.; 1:05 AM
